Prepare
Yerba Mate in a few, simple steps
Heat fresh tap water to between 70c and 85c
But never boil the water,
in order to protect the Yerba’s
wellness properties and taste.
Fill your Mate 3/4
way full with Yerba
3/4 = 30-35g or about 3 heaped tablespoons, allowing space for the water.
Cover & shake upside down, so the leaves rise to the top
Build a little mountain
of Mate on one side,
leaving a gap on the
other.
Pour your hot water into the mountain gap
And give it a minute to brew and bring out the taste.
Push your Bombilla
into bottom of the gap
Cover the tip with your thumb to avoid it clogging as you push it down.
Continue to refill the Mate through the gap
Rebrew the same
leaves using your
1 litre hot water flask
